SVP REPORT

Sponsorship certificates have been received for two students in India, one a Teacher and the other an Electrician. In the Sudan two children have been sponsored for their education, and a tricycle purchased for a mans' work.

The furniture store at Edlington is back in operation, (tel. 01709-858033) but delivery remains a difficulty. A clothing store has been started on the same site to supply the charity shops. Help is needed to mark up prices and steam clean garments. Collection can be arranged.

The Shops at Doncaster, Rossington, Edlington, and Harworth are doing well, but volunteers are urgently needed.

The visiting of sick, elderly, and housebound parishioners continues, and they love to hear all about parish life.
Peter Pennington

A PEOPLE PLACE

If this is not a place where tears are understood
Where do I go to cry?
If this is not a place where my spirits can take wing
Where do I go to fly?
If this is not a place where my questions can be asked
Where do I go to seek?
If this is not a place where feelings can be heard
Where do I go to speak?
If this is not a place where you'll accept me as I am
Where can I go to be?
If this is not a place where I can try to learn and grow
Where can I just be me?

William J. Crockett
