Parish of St Joseph and St Nicholas Moorends

The Messenger

"The Messenger" , our Parish Magazine, was established in 2001.
Many thanks to everyone who has contributed material for the Messenger, and helped to make it such a success.
We urgently need contributions from everyone, so, dig out those old photographs, tell us about events and people, long ago or yesterday.
You may have noticed that most of the articles are contributed by two or three people. This is not because there is an editorial policy to favour the chosen one or two, but because sometimes they are the ONLY items submitted. Everyone has something to say, so please - say it! Then the editors can choose material from different sources and we will have a much better magazine. If you do not feel confident about writing an article don't worry, just tell Maria what you want to say, or scribble a few notes for her, and she will do the rest.
Remember, it is YOUR magazine. Please hand contributions to Maria Stockton, or e-mail them

The latest issue was published in March 2007 and is now available here.
It is only available on the web site in text format, as, due to technical difficulties, Maria was unable to supply a version which was compatible with my software.

Past issues too are now available in the format of a pdf file as well as web pages, and the size and approximate download times with a standard dial-up connection are given, so please be patient. You will need to have the Adobe Acrobat Reader software loaded to read it. If you do not have Acrobat reader it can be dowloaded without any cost or obligation by clicking Get Acrobat Reader

After downloading the file you can save a copy in your own computer for future reference if desired.

Unfortunately 'The Messenger' pdf files take up a lot of space, and the amount of web space is limited on inexpensive web sites. Therefore, regrettably the PDF's for earlier issues are not available on this site - but the good news is that they are still available on our old geocities web site. To reach it just click here.

The contents of all issues are listed below. Please select the Issue you are interested in, and be sure to tell your far-flung friends and relatives about it so that they can enjoy reading the parish news too..
