The Cistercians in Yorkshire This is a site you will want to return to again and again. Although far from complete it already contains lots of well presented information. Try the section on Roche Abbey, which has been completed.
The Cistercians in Yorkshire Project is funded through the New Opportunities Fund's ground-breaking £50 million UK-wide digitisation programme which is designed to enable the learning materials and resources currently contained in galleries, communities, libraries, museums, universities and other centres of excellence, to be directly accessible to homes and communities via the internet. The Fund is the biggest of the National Lottery good cause distributors.
The Project will focus on five of the Yorkshire houses with significant standing ruins: Fountains, Rievaulx, and Byland principally, but also Roche and Kirkstall. The architecture of each site, explained in the context of other local churches (and European Cistercian abbeys), will open visual and textual windows onto the Cistercian way of life as experienced by the monks, the lay-brothers and their secular neighbours.
The Vatican Big and impressive, but then you would expect that wouldn't you?

Sacred SpaceSacred Space Diane (Barron) and Kate recommend this site. It is run by the Irish Jesuits. It has readings and prayers each day. You must try it if you haven't already. 7,000 people access it daily, and there have been over 6 million hits since Lent 1999.
There was an article about it in The Universe.
Just a warning I would add, the site does use Java, and may not work too well on older browsers.
Carmelite Secular Order Catherine Lister recommends the Carmelite Secular Order site, which she says is very good and gives a lot of information about the order, rule of life, Saints, and groups/contacts in the region etc.
The Discalced Carmelite Order is a Roman Catholic Religious Order founded by St. Teresa of Avila. Her great work of reform began with herself. She made a vow always to follow the most perfect course, and resolved to keep the rule as perfectly as she could (V 32.9). A group of nuns assembled in her cell one September evening in 1560, taking their inspiration from the primitive tradition of Carmel and the discalced reform of St. Peter of Alcantara, proposed the foundation of a monastery of an eremitical type. On August 24 1562, the new monastery dedicated to St. Joseph was founded. Then in Duruelo, with St. John of the Cross and Anthony of Jesus founded the first convent of Discalced Brethren in November 1568.
