Give Water

Updated June 23rd. After a very slow start over the first 2 months there was a magnificent response over the last two weeks, and the target was reached with a day to spare. Thanks for everyone who contributed.

A new click-to-give fundraising site, www.aquaplastics.org, was launched on March 22nd by the European plastics industry to raise money for much needed water projects in Africa. 1.5 million clicks need to be generated by June 22nd 2003 to raise a donation of €150 000 for the international charity WaterAid.    You can click daily, and for every click 10 cents (about 7 pence) will be donated. Please tell your friends too, as, at the current rate of clicking, only about a fifth of the money available will be allocated.
Why not make www.aquaplastics.org your home page, and then you won't forget to click when you log on? Also you can put the message in your 'Signature' file which is added to every e-mail you send.
